Shoe brushes

Here we provide you with the three most essential brushes to maintain your shoes or leather shoes:

  • The “suede brush”
  • The buffing brush
  • the Palot

These are Saphir products, made in France from natural materials.

Suede brush in beech wood.

This honeycomb crepe brush is very effective for treating shoes (or handbags, jackets etc.) in “suede” (that is to say in suede calfskin, or suede crust). It will remove the roughness accumulated on the skin, and “take off” the small hairs of the skin which may have been agglomerated with use (drops of rain or other).

You can, from time to time, perform a skin flaming operation (see our article on the subject in the “diary” page).

Soft polishing brush in beech wood.

This genuine horsehair brush is very effective for treating shoes (or handbags, jackets etc.) in “calf plain leathers”. It will allow you to polish the leather after having creamed or waxed it.

Ergonomic brush in beech wood: the palot.

This boar bristle brush is very practical because it can just as well be used to repaint the smooth (edges of the soles), to put cream at the junction between the leather and the sole, or to apply shoe polish without getting your hands dirty. .

Clean regularly, especially if you wish to alternate cream and shoe polish.
