Caulaincourt is proud to unveil an exclusive creation: the DBJ01 jacket, born from a collaboration with Abensia.
This piece marks the beginning of a new series of experimental projects led by Alexis Lafont, founder of the House, aimed at breaking down the boundaries between footwear, clothing, and lifestyle.
The concept is both simple and personal: to open Alexis’ wardrobe and share some of his favorite pieces—co-designed with artisans and creators who share the same commitment to quality, cut, and style.
The first chapter of this series begins with Abensia, a bespoke tailoring house founded by Cyril Abensia, a trusted tailor and long-time friend.
Alexis and Cyril are more than friends—they are also clients of one another. United by a passion for craftsmanship, style, and the transmission of French savoir-faire, they share a common vision: that of an intelligent, elegant, and soulful wardrobe.
From this friendship and shared vision came the DBJ01 jacket—a double-breasted piece in pinstripe wool flannel, blending Alexis’ distinct aesthetic with Cyril’s tailoring expertise.
The DBJ01 Jacket
Designed as a standout piece that remains easy to wear, the DBJ01 reimagines the double-breasted blazer with a refined balance of understated boldness and well-engineered comfort. Crafted from a 270g fabric by Vitale Barberis Canonico, it features a full canvas construction in the tradition of classic tailoring—structured, but never stiff.
The shoulder line is clean and balanced, striking the perfect middle ground between Italian ease and British precision.
Every buttonhole is functional and hand-stitched, including the boutonnière.
Other details include a red wool undercollar felt, patch pockets, a regular fit, and a signature lining printed with tigers—a nod to the wilder side of style.
